This painting is inspired by one of my memories while studying in the capital of Moldova - Chisinau.
Our capital has wide boulevards, many historical buildings as well as parks and squares flooded with greenery.
Traditionally, roses were planted to decorate all the main squares in front of government buildings, theatres and along big boulevards.
We even have a park called 'The Valley of Roses'. In the 1950's entire rose plantations were planted in south east Chisinau, which today is a large park with several lakes.
One of my student memories is of cozy summer evenings, the smell of roses in the air, creating a special atmosphere in the capital.
